Dearest Larry,

You will not believe this. I came here to tell you that I dedicated my new post to you. It's here: http://nakedineden.com/nakedinedenblog/have-you-become-your-dream/

You will see why when you look at it. But due to work on getting ready to launch my book (it's in the stores and on Amazon.com in Sept 1), I've hardly had any time to blog. But I was wondering about you the other day, and how you are doing. And you inspired my new post.

Anyway, I came here to tell you that and of course started reading your blog, and was read this post, and it brought tears to my eyes. It is sooooooooooooo beauuuuuutiful, Larry!!! It made my heart soar. I am reading it at time that I REALLY need it. It is something I was just talking to my sweetheart about his very morning. And then I come to blog and read such sweet truth.

It is one of the best posts I've read. So passionate and alive and raw and real. YES!!! Good for you!! And thank you from my heart, because it/you reflect back to me something I believe in so strongly, and I have few beliefs.

This post speaks of FREEDOM, possibility, hope, trust, and so so much more, my dear friend. It is some seriously powerful writing.

I am grateful for your friendship.
Wishing you great joy and happiness, Larry.
Hugs,
Robin

Dear Larry, So good to see you here!!! So happy to hear what you are doing with lessons. And you are SO right about this; it is great advice for any venture or interest we have. Especially if things are stressful, we are bogged down with work or life or anything. It gives us the focus and impetus and inspiration to be able to do the things we really love...regardless of WHAT life is throwing at us.

I just felt HAPPY reading this. I thought, "YES!!! Good for you Larry!" It sounds like a really smart move. And I am just happy for you and rooting for you...always. I am working on putting together some vocals, songs I composed years ago but want to put in a bit better format and improve the sound track. My problem is finding the time to do it while getting my book ready for publication. BUT one thing I don't do is give up on it. I just keep doing it when I can in between. So you really inspired me here today. Thank you for that my good friend. Hugs, Robin :)

Larry,

Excellent review. The -03 series is such a great value for an all-solid wood guitar, and Larrivee's OM models are great. I had the pleasure of meeting Jean Larrivee at the last NAMM show and we briefly talked about a Brazilian OM.

What do you think of Larrrivee's neck profile?

Daniel Keebler, editor of Gavin's Woodpile (a Bruce Cockburn newsletter and then website) since 1994, has just self-published (via Blurb.com) a book of his personal photographs of Bruce Cockburn over the past 15 years. As far as we know, it's the only book about Bruce in existence.

WOW!!!

That was sooooooooo worth the wait!

I am floored. My god, you are talented and TOTALLY professional. The dexterity and ease of mobility that you have is remarkable. I am sitting here just grinning and seriously blown away.

Now you know what I'm going to say next: "MORE MORE MORE!!!!" Lol! I would love to hear this every time. You asked for requests; do you have any songs that you've composed. Any bit of music? Anything that is yours. I would LOVE to hear that also.

But I would just love to hear more. You are extremely talented and so clear and professional. I'm sitting here shaking my head; I just can't get over what I just saw. And YES! You definitely have to do your own CD. Absolutely!! You MUST. It's not even an issue of whether to or not. It just a matter of WHEN.

You really rock. I cannot encourage you enough!
I am honored, touched and totally inspired.
Thank you SOOOO much Larry.

Gee, Larry, you are so right on! I hope Dougie & his wife, Jennifer, got to read this blog about the Denver concert. You know how to pick out the nuggets of music and write about them to bring back the lovely memories. Thanks!

My dream guitar is ever-changing. I am fortunate enough to own guitars by Hamblin, MJ Franks, Bourgeois, Collings, Goodall. They are each unique and I love them all. My current wish is to own a Henderson. Doesn't need to be Brazilian- East Indian rosewood would be fine. Even so- they are pricey, in the $15-20K range. Brazilians are $25k and up. He shapes his headstocks by hand- the craftsmanship is exquisite. That's the beauty of the dream- maybe someday.

Robin,
Thank you so much for the kind works. Dougie is a wonderful singer/songwriter. I can't wait to hear your songs with vocals. If they are anything like your piano pieces, I'm sure I'll love them.

Take care and I'm looking forward to your next musical posts

Oh my word, you pick the BEST BEST music. I LOVE this is moves me so deeply and makes me dream. You are putting me in touch with music I feel like I've been seeking but not found. We have such similar tastes in music, or at least EVERYTHING you've recommended here I've fallen in love with. I am going to check out his home page. What a voice he has. Wow, so much passion and emotion.

I am going to try to put a vocals song or two of mine up on my blog in the next few months. I'm very shy to do it but feel really drawn to getting back into it. They are simple songs but I love singing and composing.

Thank you Larry for inspiring me. The music you pick and share here says a lot of wonderful things about your character.

Hugs,

I hadn't heard of Bruce Cockburn until I taught Pacing the Cage to one of my students. It was one of the first fingerstyle songs I taught--a big challenge at the time.

It's here on my free guitar chords page. What do you think?

Dang! I just wrote a long comment here and my screen just went blank and it vanished. And it was a GOOD one too!!! LOL!

I was sooooooo touched by your comment on my post. I spent this afternoon listening to "child of the wind" over and over and over and over. I am STILL listening to it. I had not ever heard it and I cannot tell you what that song did for my, Larry. I have been so buried in work lately, hardly had time to blog, no time to hike. Feeling like I was losing my self to the "Machine" of what we all have to do to stay alive: eat, roof over our heads, etc. And when I listened to that song I felt more ME than I have in WEEKS or more. I sat here with tears in my eyes. I'm serious. I felt inspired, alive, free, especially free. I KNEW who I am. I felt so me I had tears running down my face, I picked up an old pencil and just started writing I felt so moved. I started writing from my heart, just my thoughts and feelings about....who I am, what I feel. I'd not done that (not like THAT) in a long time.

I do SO much writing for work that after awhile the reason I originally started to write gets lost. I was stunned, amazed and deeply honored that you associated that song with me. And YET, when I listened to it -- like I said -- I felt soooooooooo ME. I was impressed with your insight and wisdom....that you made that connection. I needed that song right now in my life more than I can tell you. You have given me a HUGE gift. One I am deeply grateful for. I actually bookmarked the song right up on my menu bar so I can listen to is whenever I want.

Then I come here and you have been to see him perform. That must have been absolutely amaaaazing. I am going to check out these other links you have here. Do you know what is so cool? Every bit of music that you have recommended I have liked. I think that is wonderful. You pick the BEST stuff.

Thank you so much for making my whole day and more. It is SUCH an wonderful gift, Larry. I am honored and touched. :) :) And happy!!!
