My name is Larry McDowell and I’m a guitarist; a network manager by profession but my passion is the guitar. I have been playing for 23+ years and look forward to the next 20 to 30 years of playing this incredible instrument.

Guitar Musings is a journal, of sorts, tracking my progress and/or failings in my quest to become a better guitarist and song writer. This blog also gives me a chance to share my thoughts on practicing, technique, equipment and other guitarists. I hope to not only share with you my thoughts but encourage you to leave a comment or two so I can learn from you as well.
If you would like me to review music, software, gear, etc…, use my contact page to get a hold of me. I try to keep reviews as positive as possible so if I don’t like or don’t see any potential in what you suggest, there is a chance that it won’t make it as a review.
